To solve this loneliness several methods are being proposed. Keeping a pet is one of them.
Pet is the only thing welcoming the owner into the lonely house. Pets, also, could convey a sense of psychological stability by soothing the owner’s loneliness. 17.4% of 1-person households in Seoul keep a pet, in 2018 statics. Pet is becoming ‘Companion animal’ to the 1-person household. Pet is becoming one of the family members.
